From April 2018, Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and North Cumbria University Hospitals NHS Trust will share one joint public board meeting

This decision follows on from work both Trusts have been carrying out to establish ways to work more closely together, including sharing one joint executive team between both Trusts. This means there will be a better understanding of what each Trust is doing that will result in a more streamlined approach to deliver the best services across Cumbria. It will also help improve decision making across the health and care system by working closer together and help with cost efficiencies.

All board meetings are open to the public and members are welcome to attend the meetings. The Board of Directors will use the meeting to make key decisions about the running and development of both organisations.  Members of the public attending the meeting will have the opportunity to raise questions about items on the agenda when indicated by the Chair.

The first public board meeting between the Trusts is taking place on Thursday 26^th April at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle from 13:30 – 16:30. The board agenda will available on each Trust website on Friday 20^th April and full meeting minutes will be available on the websites following the meeting. Papers and minutes from previous Board Meetings are also available on each Trust website.
